Grand Island, Neb. — The City of Grand Island will be closing several streets in preparation for the 2025 Harvest of Harmony Parade, which will take place on the morning of Saturday, October 4.
Streets along the parade route will be fully closed beginning at 4 a.m. Saturday and will remain closed until the conclusion of the parade.
The following streets that will be closed are:
North–South Streets
Eddy St: 5th St to 2nd St
Cleburn St: 5th St to 2nd St
Elm St: 10th St to North Front St; 3rd St to 2nd St
Cedar St: 10th St to 4th St; 3rd St to 2nd St
Walnut St: 10th St to 7th St; South Front St to 2nd St
Wheeler St: 10th St to 8th St; 3rd St to 2nd St
Locust St: South Front St to 2nd St
Pine St: South Front St to 2nd St
Sycamore St: 4th St to 2nd St
Kimball St: 3rd St to 2nd St
Oak St: South Front St to 2nd St
Vine St: South Front St to 2nd St
Plum St: 3rd St to 2nd St
East–West Streets
9th St: Cleburn St to Locust St
8th St: Cleburn St to Wheeler St
7th St: Cleburn St to Walnut St
6th St: Cleburn St to Walnut St
5th St: Eddy St to Walnut St
4th St: Clark St to Walnut St
South Front St: Clark St to Eddy St
3rd St: Greenwich St to Vine St
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow for extra travel time. Residents and parade spectators should be aware of these closures and move vehicles from the parade route prior to 4 a.m. Saturday.
